Transportation

For any safety or driving concerns regarding First Student buses (buses numbered 200 and above), please contact 423-498-5555 or visit www.firstfeedback.com

Buses are expected to arrive within 10 minutes of their scheduled time. Please have students at their stops and ready to board the bus 10 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time. The bus schedule can not allow more time to wait for tardy students or for students to exit personal vehicles. For more information, please see the rules of conduct in the Transportation Policy Manual

Hamilton County Schools transports more than 20,000 students to and from school each day. There are 251 daily bus routes covering 23,000 miles each day and 4.0 million miles annually. Our mission is to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from school daily.

Title 1

RBMS is a Title I school. This means we meet criteria to receive federal assistance to ensure all students get a good education and meet academic standards. As a Title I school we must review and modify (as needed) the Title I Family Engagement Policy for RBMS. Paper copies are available at the school or you may view the information below.

As a Title I school we also provide a Title I School-Parent Compact that we encourage parents and students to sign, along with the administration and your child’s teacher. This compact describes what the administration, the teacher, the parent and the student pledge to do to ensure the student will be successful. If you, as the parent/guardian, have not completed a compact we strongly encourage you to do so. You may print off a copy and send it to school or stop by the school and sign one.

We have two pamphlets that help to explain Title I: Parents’ Rights in Education: A guide to the No Child Left Behind Act and About School-Parent Compacts. You may pick up a copy of each in the school office or request a copy be sent home to you.
